About Us
Waycross was established in Delaware by William M. Ryan after his first career with the DuPont Company. William Ryan is retired. Current Waycross staff include:
Michael F. Ryan
President and Chief Investment Officer
Michael joined Waycross in 1983 after a career in financial and manufacturing management with corporations in the US and Brazil. He is responsible for investment research, strategy, and process. Michael has more than twenty years' experience in quantitative investment research and asset allocation modeling.
Michael holds a BA degree in Economics from Colgate University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School. Michael has been an active member in the community serving on the boards of the Whatcom Community College Foundation and the Whatcom Land Trust. He currently serves on the board of the Bellingham Food Bank and is a member of the Investment and Finance Committee for the Whatcom Community Foundation.
Egan Ludwig
Vice President
Egan joined Waycross in 2006. He was previously employed by Parametric Portfolio Associates in Seattle, a large, quantitatively oriented investment management firm. Egan was the Director of Trading for Parametric prior to joining Waycross.
At Waycross, Egan shares responsibility for portfolio management with Michael and performs equity and fixed income research. He is responsible for all trading.
Egan graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Accounting and Management Information Systems. He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2006. Egan currently serves on the boards of the Whatcom Community College Foundation as well as Brigid Collins. He is also an active member within the soccer community in Whatcom County.
Anne Young
Office Manager/Client Services Administrator
Anne is responsible for office management, reception duties, and client accounting. She is a graduate of Western Washington University and comes to Waycross with previous experience working for a brokerage firm.
Barbara Ryan
Director
After a career in non-profit public relations, Barbara joined Waycross in 1989, managing portfolio accounting and marketing. After her election to the Bellingham City Council in 1997, Barbara reduced her Waycross direct responsibilities.
She holds a BA from Boston University in Communication and a Masters of Science in Administration degree from West Chester University.
